Moonbridge Studios partnered with Les Chocolateries Askanya, a Haitian bean-to-bar chocolate company, to develop a complete visual identity and packaging system for their international retail launch. Services included brand identity design, custom illustration, packaging design, chocolate bar mold design, and brand collateral including bilingual media kits, distributor kits, retail display boxes, signage, and print materials. The design celebrates Haitian culture and cacao heritage while positioning the brand competitively in global markets. Project by New York-based brand designer and illustrator Marlie Décopain-Lake of Moonbridge Studios.

LES CHocolatEriEs Askanya

Role – Brand Identity, Packaging Design, Illustration, Product Design, Brand Collateral

Askanya Chocolate is a Haitian bean to bar chocolate company producing premium chocolate from locally grown cacao while supporting farmers and strengthening Haiti’s agricultural economy. As the brand prepared to launch, the founders were looking for visuals that could help position the product competitively in international markets while still honoring its Haitian roots.

I partnered with the team to develop the visual identity and packaging system, creating custom illustrations and graphic elements that celebrate Haitian culture and cacao heritage while establishing a distinctive shelf presence. My work extended beyond packaging to include the design of the chocolate bar mold and a range of brand materials such as bilingual media and distributor kits, retail display boxes, labels, signage, and print collateral, helping build a cohesive visual language across product, retail, and communications.
